The Top 10 Most Offensive T-Shirts

As part of my daily routine of searching for the funniest t-shirts around I often find some exceptionally rude and offensive t-shirts that I’m often in two-minds about blogging about. But I thought: “sod it!”, you’re all adult enough to understand that if the title of this blog post is “The Top 10 Most Offensive T-Shirts Of All Time” that if you’re lilly-livered or easily offended that you won’t scroll down. So if you are, bugger off. If you’re not politically correct or you understand that we can still have a giggle at ourselves without getting offended then read on.

1 – Statistically 9 Out Of 10 People Enjoy Gang Rape! T-Shirt
Its a difficult thing trying work out whether gang rape, racism, Hitler or 9/11 is the most offensive thing to have on your t-shirt. And its a tough call, but because I think 9/11 was actually orchestrated by the US Government I’ll have to put that fourth and as Hitler killed more people than 9/11 he’s got to go third, and as the racist one doesn’t actually use any hateful comments I’ll put that second.

Gang rape isn’t big and it isn’t clever and is no way condoned – but its still a fetish of many many out there (giving not receiving I’d say) so I thought it’d appeal to most of you blokes out there.

2 – I Like My Muslims Like I Like My Coffee. I Don’t Like Coffee T-Shirt
Racism is a big deal at the moment. We saw the reaction to BNP getting a couple of Euro MP’s. Although there’s a fine line between being a racist and being patriotic (where does that line get drawn?), its a very emotive subject where if you say anything in contradiction to the “perceived wisdom” you’re considered a racist, even though your views may actually be neutral. Purely because the topic is so charged in today’s society, it has to go up there with gang rape.

3 – Hitler European Tour 1939-45
A very good friend of mine is Jewish and I have a lot of respect for them so I, personally find this one the most offensive. However, thinking of the national concious then the others may be more offensive as Hitler was just so long ago? I’m not really sure that any normal person would buy these, whilst they may buy some of the others. What does annoy me about people though is that you can’t even mention Hitler without people searching for a swastika tattoo on you. I’d prefer to try and undertand the man than ignore that fact that he existed. However, this is still a pretty vile t-shirt (bought by people with swastikas on their arms (or foreheads)).

4 – Statistically 9/11 Americans Will Be Offended By This Statistic T-Shirt
I still have this underlying view that there’s more to 9/11 than meets the eye. Because there’s so much death and the maiming of innocent people, with their friends and relations having their lives torn apart and because I remember the shock of seeing it as if it was only yesterday, then I’ve got to say this t-shirt is very offensive. However, I do feel its a very clever use of the numbers. If anyone did want to know, 9/11 is the same as 81.81%.

5 – Calm Down Dear Let’s Not Turn This Rape Into A Murder! T-Shirt
Come on, I couldn’t have two rape t-shirts in the top few. Whenever I see these sort of t-shirts I seem to think of Crimewatch and the recreated scenes when a young lady is walking the street and then gets jumped on. This sort of rape (ok any sort of rape) must be pretty damn frightening. I’m finding it hard to say that the other t-shirts above are more offensive seeing as racism in itself doesn’t hurt anyone – the implication of it does. However, rape does in actuality does. However, rape is often not talked about, whereas racism is at the forefront of everyone’s mind – especially if you work in the public sector. For this reason alone, I’m putting it down at five. As a nation we’ve become desensitised to violence.

6 – Holy Mary Gangster T-Shirt
Oooh religion. Don’t talk about that or politics or the little left-wingers will get a grump on! I’m religious to a degree, but feel that everything should be open to ridicule – if your faith is strong enough it should be able to withstand it. However, if you’re in America then Christianity can not be ridiculed. However, in this country we’re pretty ambivalent to it. Now consider if it was Muhammad in cartoon form up there then they’ll be riots on the streets. Remember the controversy about the cartoons of Muhammad in a Danish newspaper? I’d dare any t-shirt manufacturer to do one like that – they won’t because they understand that us Westerners are more open to ridicule, rightly or wrongly.

7 – Feminists Are Big, Fat, Hairy Dykes! T-Shirt
Where do I bloody start with feminists. Those that have been affected by rape, terrorism, violence or racism get my sympathy. Feminists don’t. What really gets my goat is that feminism exsits when it suits the 49.4% of the population (I made that figure up) that are females. To my mind you either want 100% equality or nothing. I’m up to the 100% equal option. But when a women asks “will you carry my bags because you’re a man” – you can get stuffed. I’ll carry your bags because you’re struggling – not because you’re female! For many this t-shirt wouldn’t fit on a top ten list. But because I find vehement feminists offensive, its going on.

8 – Heroin. It’s A Bit Moreish T-Shirt
Having never dabbled in heroin, I can’t really say if it is or not. I’ve never understood the phrase “recreational drugs”. What are the other types “occupational”? Well I suppose they are if you like to run or throw things for a living, but most ordinary people part-take in one drug or another – caffeine, nicotine, alcohol. Oh you mean the real shit that messes up lives? That’s just real shit. It keeps a load of the Taliban in rockets – if you needed a reason to not use that shit then there’s one there.

But as use of these drugs have become more prevalent then they’re not nearly as offensive as other things on the list. But when you’ve been personally affected like the friends and family of Leah Betts then you may change your mind?

9 -I Shot Diana T-Shirt
OOh. I nearly said the sacred cow of the people. But I obviously don’t mean it like that. I had nothing against her, in fact I thought she was fantastic. This is not really offensive as there’s no physical effect on us like the rape ones or psychological impact like the racism ones. However, there are some people that are totally obsessed with Princess Diana and ridiculing a national icon is slightly below the belt (even a seat belt). Now I’m putting her at 9, but if this was a “I Shot Jill Dando” t-shirt she’d be much further up there as I those events seem so much more sinister – despite what Mohammed al Fayed says, the Jill Dando murder has nothing to do with the Royal Family or dark government forces (as far as I’m aware).

10 11 – Jade Is Dead (Ugly) T-Shirt
Anyone that knows me will know that I didn’t have much time for Jade Goody. I’m not a big fan of all this celebrity rubbish and especially people becoming famous from having absolutely no talent other than the ability to offend people (damn that’s me looking in the mirror!). Anyhow, its going on here as I know people will be offended it and also because she died of cancer. Actually sod it, Jade’s been relegated off the top ten. She’s not even talented enough to get on this list. Instead I’ll added the “I beat Cancer – By cancer I mean my wife t-shirt“. Soz hun, but your hand isn’t good enough to beat cancer and wife beating! It’s a hard life!
